Mulliner Biometric Secure Stowage

Bentley Mulliner are pleased to announce an exciting new feature for Bentayga – Mulliner Biometric Secure Stowage.

Integrated discretely into the front centre console and hidden under the armrest, the Mulliner Biometric Secure Stowage utilises fingerprint recognition technology to safely store possessions of high and personal value.

A first for Bentley and Mulliner, this is an exciting and contemporary technology story for the brand, currently no other OEM automotive manufacturer offers the use of this capacitive technology in their cars.

Machined and high-pressure cast aluminium production methods ensure a robust design, with LED lighting and an audible sound indicating successful user identification. A bright chrome bezel, engraved with the Mulliner logo finishes the machine from solid lightweight stowage and surrounds the 360 degree capacitive fingerprint reader.

When the vehicle’s ignition is turned on, a white LED light illuminates to indicate unit standby and ready for fingerprint scanning. Once a pre-stored fingerprint is recognised, the light flashes green and the box is unlocked with an audible indication. If a fingerprint is not recognised, the light flashes red and the box remains locked.

Within the back-lit Biometric Secure Stowage unit, Mulliner has also retained the AUX and USB ports to allow customers to charge their mobile devices and make the most of the technology inside Bentayga including Apple CarPlay.

The Secure Stowage unit is lined with a diamond quilt rubber mat and has storage capacity for a number of items such as phones, wallets, watches etc.
