A Christmas Wish
Meet Edna.
Edna is 94 years young and recently wrote a letter at The Lions Club of Morpeth about her wish for Christmas. With the world at her feet, Edna’s wish was to visit Newcastle City Centre and view Fenwick's window, have a spot of lunch and do some shopping. When Andy from The Lions Club of Morpeth told us about Edna’s wish, we knew we had to help.
Picking Edna up from home in the Bentley Bentayga, we chauffeur drove her and her friend Margaret into the City Centre where she received a guided tour of Fenwick’s window which this year, has The Snowman as its theme. Edna and Margaret then enjoyed lunch in Fenwick’s café before experiencing a personal shopping afternoon where she could get all her gifts for Christmas. Once she was finished shopping, it was only chivalrous for us to chauffeur Edna and her goodies home after her busy day.
The Lions Club of Morpeth serves the community of Morpeth and surrounding areas by supporting local projects, organisations and fundraising. We were delighted to be able to work with them to help Edna’s wish come true. To continue with the festive celebrations and supporting our local community, JCT600 Bentley Newcastle are donating their Christmas party money to The People’s Kitchen Newcastle. Through charitable giving, The People’s Kitchen provides a safety-net and a vital lifeline of friendship, food and clothing for the most disadvantaged in our society, the homeless and the vulnerable.
